We’re Hiring: Head of Sales & Business Development (fully remote)

We are seeking highly a motivated and results-oriented Head of Sales & Business Development to join our team at Zero One Hundred Conferences. As a Head of Sales & Business Development, you will lead the sales team of 3-5 people and play a crucial role in driving revenue growth from inbound and outbound leads and expanding our customer base, with a specific focus on acquiring sponsors and ticket sales for our conferences within the Private Equity and Venture Capital industry. With a track record of success, we have already organized 50+ PE & VC online and offline events in different countries over the last 8 years, with over 1700 speakers, 7000 investors, and 12 000 attendees. Each event brings together 350-1000 senior level delegates from the industry, gathering top notch funds/institutions such as ERSTE Bank, EarlyBird, APG, Tyrol Equity, AlpInvest, VenCap, Northzone, Stepstone, Blackrock, Blackstone, Adams Street, Speedinvest and many more. Our prestigious events focus more on quality than quality, with large a focus on relevant audience, high seniority, strong LP/GP ratio and boutique networking experience.

The locations of conferences are Vienna, Amsterdam, Prague & Milan. In addition to that, we facilitate fundraising services for selected GPs, Asset Managers and Fund of Funds through capital introductions, visibility and networking opportunities.

The Zero One Hundred ecosystem includes 2 VC funds.


Responsibilities:

- Strategic Sales leadership - Create and execute all-encompassing sales plans that are in line with overarching company goals, emphasising the growth of revenue

- Guide, inspire, and assist a sales staff (3-5 people) in meeting both individual and group sales goals.

- Supervise the creation and implementation of strategies for acquiring new customers, such as lead generation, conversion, and prospecting.

- Set up and constantly improve sales processes in order to maximize the effectivity of sales team

- Report sales progress and results to CEO

- Prospect, identify, and build your own pipeline of new potential sponsors (Service providers - KPMG, Deloitte, Intralinks, Loyens & Loeff, Raiffeisen Bank, Greenberg Traurig, BCG, Mazars, other General Partners or governmental organisations) for all conferences within the PE and VC industry through various channels, including calling, emails, in-person meetings, networking events, and industry conferences.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in the PE and VC sectors to secure sponsorships for our conferences.

- Conduct in-depth research and analysis to understand sponsor needs, industry trends, and the competitive landscape within the PE and VC industry, and tailor sponsorship proposals accordingly.

- Deliver persuasive presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the value and benefits of sponsoring our conferences to the PE and VC community.

- Prepare and negotiate sponsorship proposals and contracts, pricing, and terms of agreements to ensure mutually beneficial partnerships within the PE and VC sector.

- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams from production, marketing, finance and CEO to develop strategies for steady company growth and make sure sales initiatives are supported and aligned


Qualifications, Although we believe a one-size-fits-all profile does not exist, a successful candidate will most likely cover most of the following:

- 7+ years of sales experience and deep understanding of all stages of sales cycle and sales management

- Proven track record of success in B2B sales management, preferably in the event management, conference business, or technology industry, with a focus on sponsor acquisition.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and establish trust with potential sponsors and team members.

- Ability to listen, understand and address clients or sales team needs

- Preferably understanding of the private equity and venture capital landscape

- A network within the industry is preferred

- Ability to have structural approach to work

- Self-motivated and target-driven, with a proactive approach to prospecting and generating leads for sponsorships

- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines

- A Master's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred
