Success Story – 0100 Conferences & Preqin

0100 Conferences looks to make partnerships with only the very best companies in any given industry. That’s why we have decided to partner with Preqin. Known as the Home of Alternatives, they are the foremost provider of data, analytics, and insights to the alternative assets community.

Preqin’s flagship platform is Preqin Pro, the largest and most versatile data and analytics source for alternatives. They also produce market-leading research reports, as well as tools for analytics, portfolio management, and due diligence to help fund managers and allocators to make the best possible investment decisions. More than 115,000 industry operators use their products and services, and it is this market position that led 0100 Conferences to decide to partner with them.

When the COVID-19 pandemic first took over in Spring 2020, 0100 Conferences decided to organize a series of webinars aimed at private equity professionals. The ultimate goal was to explore how private equity was responding to the pandemic, and to share the latest data on what was driving developments in the industry. At this time more than any other, it was crucial for our clients to access the data they needed to make the best-informed decisions and take relevant steps.

A key part of the collaboration was to allow webinar participants to access the recordings and materials after the event, so that they could replay and further explore the topics presented. This also turned out to be a key part of the lead generation process around the webinars.

Last, but not least, this strategy was an extremely cost-effective way of procuring leads compared to, for instance, running paid ads on platforms like LinkedIn. Preqin has managed to generate around 200 qualified leads from the campaign so far, a cost/return ratio much better than in other marketing channels. This kind of collaboration, then, saves not just time, but also money.
