At EIF since 2009, Marco is heading the team responsible for equity investments in European funds focused on Sustainable Growth, including strategies oriented towards circularity, climate and energy transition, digital transformation and investments in sectors which are strategic for the European economy. Marco coordinates the investment activity for the AMUF European Private Equity compartment and for several fund-of-funds initiatives, with specific thematic or geographical scope, (e.g. Turkey, Poland, Baltics, Central Europe, Italy, Portugal). He represents EIF on the Advisory Boards of several funds. Prior to EIF, he worked in direct investments, in an Early Stage VC fund, and in management consulting. Marco holds a M.S. degree in Industrial Engineering and Management.

Gianpaolo Di Dio is the Chief Investment Officer and a Senior Partner at Fondo Italiano d’Investimento SGR, which he joined in October 2010. Previously, he managed corporate turnarounds as CEO of Arcotronics and Executive Chairman of Netscalibur Italia. He is also co-founder and General Partner of TLcom Capital LLP, a UK-based venture capital fund formed as a joint venture with Morgan Stanley, where he led several investments in the ICT sector across Europe and Israel. Prior to founding TLcom, Gianpaolo was a Senior Manager at Bain & Company, focusing primarily on the TMT sectors in Europe and Silicon Valley. He began his career as a financial analyst at Abbott. Qualifications Gianpaolo Di Dio holds a degree with honors in Economics and Commerce from LUISS, where he also completed an MBA.

Diego Alaimo is Head of the Multi-Asset – Indirect Private Strategies division at Generali Asset Management. In this role, he covers the investment selection and portfolio management of private asset funds and mandates. He manages buyouts, growth capital, direct lending, mezzanine, and core/core-plus infrastructure investments, executed as primaries, secondaries, and co-investments across Europe and North America. Prior to joining Generali, he was a member of the fund-of-funds team at Fondo Italiano d’Investimento, where he executed primary fund investments in private equity and private debt. He began his career as a proprietary trader at Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena, managing the banking book and a portfolio of alternative investments. Diego graduated from the University of Siena and obtained an Executive Master in Finance at SDA Bocconi in Milan.

Mareme is a Partner at 500 Global and leads the firm's expansionin Africa. Previously, she was the head of international partnershipsand relations at Draper University and a member of DraperUniversity Ventures investment team. She has been in the VCindustry for the past 10 years, supporting founders with investmentsand accelerator programs, and has worked with several largeEuropean corporates on their innovation programs. She supportedmore than +200 founders through an intensive entrepreneurshipprogram she ran in Silicon Valley before endorsing her currentposition. She sat on the board of Trustees of Bennington Collegeand currently sits on several startup boards as well as AVCA VCcommittee. She has been named in both Forbes Europe and ForbesAfrica as a 30U30 nominee.

Martin focuses on the development of institutional client and consultant relationships within the DACH region, and works with other members of the Investor Relations Team to serve the needs of Adams Street Partners’ clients. Prior to joining the firm, Martin was a Managing Director with AllianceBernstein, leading and managing AB’s business with institutional investors and financial intermediaries, fund of funds, banks, and family offices in Germany, Austria, and Luxembourg. He was also responsible for promoting and introducing the equity, fixed income, and alternative investment services to professional investors. Before joining AllianceBernstein, he held management positions with AXA Investment Managers and Commerz International Capital Management.

Marcus joined FERI in 2005. As Head of Alternative Investments, he is responsible for Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Investment Solutions, Manager Selection and positioning of FERIs Alternative Investment Division including client reporting. Additionally, he is Member of the Board at FERI (Luxembourg) S.A., FERI’s fund management company subsidiary. He started his career in 1994 as an advisor to UHNWI before moving to London in 1998 joining the Investment Banking division of Robert Flemings Ltd. (acquired by JPMorgan). Until 2003 he was a Director within the Global Equities department of Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein in London. He has over 30 years’ experience in capital markets, corporate transactions, manager selection and investment allocation across asset classes. He has written several articles and book chapters on Alternative Investments and Hedge Funds which have been published in professional journals and industry magazines. Marcus holds a master’s degree in Finance/Capital markets and International Management / Economics from Humboldt University Berlin in addition to a two-year apprenticeship as a bank manager. He is married and father of three children. FERI is a specialist in Alternative Investments and one of the largest Investment Management firms in Germany based in Bad Homburg managing approximately EUR61bn including EUR18bn in Alternative Investments. FERI invests in Hedge Funds (UCITS and offshore) and Private Equity funds for Institutional Investors and UHNW / family offices mainly for German-speaking clients in Europe. FERI allocates to Alternative Investments since 1999 and has built up one of the largest Alternative Investment teams in Europe with approximately 50 employees.

Nicolas Petitjean is part of the Private Equity Partnership Investments business unit, based in Zug. He is a member of the Private Equity Partnership Investment Committee and the Private Equity Direct Co-Investments and Direct Lead Growth Investments Investment Committees. He has been with Partners Group since 2013 and has 19 years of industry experience, previously working at Perennius Capital Partners which was integrated into Partners Group in 2013 and Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking in M&A and structured finance. He holds a master’s degree in finance from EMLYON Business School, France.
