Christian is a Managing Director of Hamilton Lane (Germany) GmbH, based in the firm’s Frankfurt office. Prior to joining Hamilton Lane in 2022, Christian was a Director at BNY Mellon Investment Management responsible for Germany. In addition, Christian held Director positions at Janus Capital Group and Feri Trust AG covering clients in Germany and Austria. Christian received a B.A. in International Finance from Nürtingen University and an Executive Master in Marketing and Sales from ESADE and SDA Bocconi.

Dr. Andre Retterath is a Partner at Earlybird Venture Capital, who were among the first investors in companies like UiPath, N26, Peak Games or Aiven. Andre is based in the Munich office and focuses on enterprise software, with a particular interest in companies building products powered by deep technologies including AI/ML and advanced analytics. He also spends time looking at developer tools, open-source software and robotics. Besides his investor function, Andre heads Earlybird’s Data Strategy team. Before transitioning into VC in 2017, he gained more than 5 years experience as a process automation engineer and technology consultant with ThyssenKrupp and further insights as a management consultant with GE North America. Andre conducted his Ph.D. at the Technical University of Munich on the topic of machine learning and the value of data in venture capital. Moreover, he holds a M.Sc. in Management and a B.Eng. in Mechatronics Engineering and was previously educated at Harvard University, University of Cambridge and Georgia Institute of Technology, among others.

Kristina is a VP on the Investor Relations team at Atomico based in London. She works to oversee fundraising activities and manage relationships with investors globally with a focus on the DACH region and Southern Europe. Before joining Atomico, Kristina spent over three and a half years at Campbell Lutyens, where she was an Associate on the Fund Placement Team assisting and advising third-party funds on raising capital. Kristina holds a BA in International Relations from King’s College London. She is fluent in German, and English with good proficiency in Spanish and Italian.

Fabian joined Vitruvian in 2017, is heading the DACH office in Munich and is focused on Technology and Healthcare investments in the DACH and CEE region overall. Prior to Vitruvian Fabian has been a Partner with EQT, committed to the mid-market segment in the DACH and Nordics region. Prior to joining EQT, Fabian worked at MCap Finance investing in German mid-cap companies as well as for KPMG in the corporate finance team. In the course of his career, he has also co-founded an internet start-up. Fabian has over 17 years’ experience in mid-market private equity as well as growth investments across Europe. He has a MSc in Business Administration from the University of Cologne and a MBA from CEMS.

Louise DOUCET is a Sustainability Director at Ardian, based in Paris. Ardian is a private market investment firm with USD 160bn of AuM and operates internationally in Private Equity, Fund of funds, Infrastructure, Real Estate and Debt. Based in its Sustainability team, Louise is focusing on the origination and structuration of ESG & Impact products and solutions for Ardian’s international client base. Before joining Ardian, she has been working for 12 in Corporate & Institutional Banking, including 7 years in Sustainability. Louise has been servicing Financial Institutions across various roles ; Coverage, Advisory, Debt Capital Markets and Structured Finance.

Dr. Tanja Emmerling is a partner at High-Tech Gründerfonds and leads the Berlin office. She has been active as an investment manager in the Digital Tech area of the fund since 2014 and is very interested in topics such as Artificial Intelligence, IoT, Mobility & Logistics, IT-Security, Blockchain and SaaS. She is also active as a start-up mentor and is committed to strengthen the role of female investors in these areas. Before joining HTGF, she worked for more than six years in a media company and was responsible as Head of New Ventures for incubations in B2B.

Andreas Esau is an Executive Director and Alternatives Specialist for Morgan Stanley Investment Management. He joined Morgan Stanley in 2009 and has 12 years of industry experience. Prior to his current role, Andreas was a portfolio specialist for the Morgan Stanley Private Markets Solutions. Previously, Andreas was a summer analyst at Morgan Stanley Investment Management on the Consultant Relations Team. Prior to joining the firm, Andreas was a research analyst at S&L Investment Banking Services and a student research assistant at the Max Planck Institute as well at the CNRS. Andreas received a B.Sc. in Biotechnology from Imperial College London. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
