Joaquin is currently Head of Secondaries at the European Investment Fund, where he joined in 2008 as part of the primaries lower mid-market investment team. At EIF he has led and closed transactions in Buyout, Development Capital, Growth, Credit & VC strategies, having successfully executed primaries, buy-side and sell-side secondaries (including single asset and multi-asset GP-leds, LP-tenders, preferreds, single LP-led and portfolio LP-led transactions) as well as co-investments across Europe. As part of the EIF’s private institutional investor programme (AMUF), a platform which has raised over EUR 1.6bn to date, Joaquin led and closed a EUR 100m private equity secondaries fund focused on GP-led solutions and acquisition of single LP positions in the lower end of the mid-market. Regular panellist on secondaries, primaries and co-investments across Europe. Holds a Degree in Law from Nebrija University, an International MBA from IE Business School and the Private Equity Certification Program from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Fluent in English (proficiency), French (mother language) and Spanish (mother language).

Colin joined Balderton in 2016 and is based in Berlin. At Balderton, he invests in purpose-driven, product-focused founders spanning verticals including Cloud, Consumer, Marketplaces, and Fintech. Colin is part of the team at Balderton responsible for driving the firm's Sustainable Future Goals initiatives. Prior to joining Balderton, Colin worked at SoundCloud in Berlin where he led Emerging Market Growth. Colin began his career at Goldman Sachs in New York where he focused on raising capital for Asian internet companies. Colin has a B.A. from Princeton University in Political Science with a certificate in Political Economy where he was also a Captain of the Men’s Swimming Team. He has competed in the United States Swimming Olympic Trials and spent his childhood in Indonesia and Hong Kong. Colin speaks Mandarin, German, Spanish and is most comfortable in the ocean.

Matthias Tabbert is a Managing Director at Levine Leichtman Capital Partners (“LLCP”) the U.S. middle-market private equity firm with a nearly 40-year investing track record. As part of the European LLCP team Matthias is leading the structured equity investments in the DACH region and is based in Frankfurt. Prior to joining LLCP in January 2022, he was a Partner with HQ Equita and served on the Investment Committee. Matthias has over 16 years’ experience in private equity investing across sectors. Currently he is a board member of cleversoft and Schülerhilfe. He began his career at Barclays Capital in London as a member of the European Leveraged Finance team.

Martin focuses on the development of institutional client and consultant relationships within the DACH region, and works with other members of the Investor Relations Team to serve the needs of Adams Street Partners’ clients. Prior to joining the firm, Martin was a Managing Director with AllianceBernstein, leading and managing AB’s business with institutional investors and financial intermediaries, fund of funds, banks, and family offices in Germany, Austria, and Luxembourg. He was also responsible for promoting and introducing the equity, fixed income, and alternative investment services to professional investors. Before joining AllianceBernstein, he held management positions with AXA Investment Managers and Commerz International Capital Management.

Anja is a managing director in Alternatives Capital Formation within Goldman Sachs Asset Management. She is responsible for Alternatives Portfolio Solutions across private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, sustainability and hedge funds/liquid alternatives in EMEA. Anja initially joined the firm in 2003 as an analyst in the institutional business development team, eventually moving to the global insurance team. She rejoined Goldman Sachs as a managing director in 2023 as part of the firm’s acquisition of NN Investment Partners where Anja served as country head for Germany. Prior to re-joining the firm, Anja was in the German management team at Vontobel Asset Management. Anja earned a master’s degree in Mathematics from the Technical University Munich in 2003. In 2021, she completed the Advanced Management Programme at INSEAD in Fontainebleau.

Luise rejoined Axel Springer in 2021 and holds the position as Managing Director of Axel Springer Digital Ventures, the companies’ corporate venture capital arm. ASDV has an investment focus on direct investments in media related business models as well as investments in accelerators und funds. Prior to rejoining AS, Luise worked for the media for equity fund German Media Pool, b-to-v Partners and also started her career at Axel Springer. Luise is an ESCP Europe graduate with a Master in Management.

Lorenz is a Senior Portfolio Manager for Multi-Managers Private Equity, a business which forms part of Real Estate & Private Markets within UBS Asset Management (UBS-AM). Based in Zurich, he covers European private equity investments across primaries, secondaries and co-investments on the sourcing, execution and monitoring side. Furthermore, Lorenz is also spending a meaningful part of his time on serving existing customers and growing the business with prospective clients all across Europe. Prior to joining UBS-AM in 2021, Lorenz worked for eight years at SwanCap Partners in Munich. He started his career as a participant of the International Graduate Program in Corporate & Investment Banking at UniCredit. Lorenz holds an MBA from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management and a B.Sc. in Business Administration from the University of Bayreuth.

Vahit Alili is an Investment Director at the Private Equity team of Schroders Capital, the private markets investment division of Schroders Group. Vahit Alili joined Schroders Capital in 2019 and spearheads the firm’s European buyout and growth investments in the Healthcare industry. He joined Schroders Capital after 10+ years in European Healthcare Investment Banking, most recently with Lazard and Deutsche Bank. Since joining, Vahit has worked on a range of successful investment projects including buyout co-investments, direct growth investments as well as fund and secondary investments.
