Fabian joined Vitruvian in 2017, is heading the DACH office in Munich and is focused on Technology and Healthcare investments in the DACH and CEE region overall. Prior to Vitruvian Fabian has been a Partner with EQT, committed to the mid-market segment in the DACH and Nordics region. Prior to joining EQT, Fabian worked at MCap Finance investing in German mid-cap companies as well as for KPMG in the corporate finance team. In the course of his career, he has also co-founded an internet start-up. Fabian has over 17 years’ experience in mid-market private equity as well as growth investments across Europe. He has a MSc in Business Administration from the University of Cologne and a MBA from CEMS.
Rustam is a principal at Mid Europa Partners, a leading private equity firm in CEE with over €5.3bn of funds raised and managed since inception.
Prior to joining Mid Europa, Rustam worked at Five Arrows Principal Investments, the private equity arm of Rothschild & Co.
Mr. Mäki is the Managing Partner of 3TS and is primarily responsible for general management of 3TS. Previously, Mr. Mäki was the Managing Partner of Red Catalyst Ltd., a strategic business development consultancy and an investment boutique. He has also been an entrepreneur and executive in management consulting and with advertising agencies across Central and Eastern Europe and in Finland. A true European Mr. Mäki speaks five languages and has studied at Helsinki University of Technology, IESE Business School in Barcelona, Universidad Complutense in Madrid and Wirschaftsuniversität in Vienna.
William R Watson is the Managing Partner of Value4Capital, a Poland and Central European focused private equity firm. Bill began investing in central Europe in 1992 with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. He continued with Baring Private Equity Partners from 1997 and Société Générale Asset Management from 2005. In October 2011 he and his partners spun-out with the fund raised under
the SGAM brand to become Value4Capital. They are currently investing their 2017 vintage V4C Poland Plus Fund. A Canadian and French citizen, he has been a board member at portfolio companies across central Europe and played an active role in the industry as a member of Invest Europe’s Mid-Market Platform Council from 2012 to 2018 and a member and then Chairman of its Professional Standards Committee. He is currently Chairman of the Invest Europe CEE Task Force.
Bartek is a general partner of SpeedUp Group. He's involved in early-stage project implementation in the areas associated with martech, marketplace, IoT and hardware. He has a wealth of experience in the marketing & advertising industry – he went through all the career positions all the way up to managing partner of the BLT Group (co-founder and shareholder) and TEQUILA\ Poland. He's been in the startup sector for over 8 years; starting as an investor in several initiatives implemented by other business partners, he's a co-creator of about a dozen technology startups. His knowledge and experience help support portfolio companies in business model development and testing, managing and creating business strategies as well as negotiations. He preps them for acquiring consecutive rounds of funding and supports them in the sale of shares, and cooperation with big business partners. For the last couple of years, Bartek has been intensively supporting the development of the Polish startup community.
Andrej joined Credo Ventures in 2011 and became a partner in 2015. Previously he was with Benson Oak, an early growth fund and the first backer of AVG Technologies, which is the only Czech company to IPO at the New York Stock Exchange. Andrej graduated from University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce with concentrations in finance and management.
Boris Zeleny is a successful investor who has invested in various Private Equity Investments and worldwide Venture Funds.
He co-founded several companies which are household names: EUFC CZ, NKB Group, Zoznam.sk, EurActiv.sk to name but a few. Boris has taken part in several Supervisory Boards and Investment Committees, the most famous of which include AVG Technologies, Credo Ventures and Diagnose.me.

Radoslav Tausinger is Managing Director with Credit Value Investments, one of the leading private capital investment firms with EUR 1 billion of assets under management, focusing on investments in private debt (senior/junior, mezzanine, distressed), as well as private equity. He is focusing on opportunities in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and the Baltics. Radoslav is leading CVI’s fundraising activities on the first institutional fund focused on Central Europe that had its first closing in April 2021. Jaroslav recently launched Nation 1 VC, a new €35 million venture capital fund that invests in other promising startups. He has been a Board Member at Czech Private Equity & Venture Capital Association and a mentor at Seedcamp, Wayra, JIC, StartupYard, and CzechInvest. He is passionate about helping entrepreneurs to achieve success and his areas of expertise include fundraising, sales and marketing, financial planning, and business model development. Jaroslav is looking for startups with smart-ass teams with kick-ass products in big-ass markets.
Michal is a Partner at ARX Equity Partners, an established private equity firm with over 20 years of experience with investing in medium-sized companies in Central Europe. At ARX, Michal is responsible for investment activities in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Prior to joining ARX, Michal worked in the Central European team of Advent International, and currently also serves as a Board Member of the Czech Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (CVCA).
Karol Gogolák, as a founder of G4 INVESTMENTS, has been investing professionally since 2011. He is actively involved in investments in real estate development and technologies. Between 2011 and 2020, the average annual return on investments reached 33% and increased the money invested by 316%. (The G4 rarely uses bank financing, as their investments are mostly riskier). In recent years, Karol has been actively involved in company TransData, where he achieved IRR of 52% and ROI of 459%. In his first real estate development project, he achieved IRR of 29% and ROI of 177%, when in the village Rajka, beyond the Hungarian border, as an employee of T-Mobile, he bought land for 4 euros / m2 and later sold for 69 euros / m2. All G4 real estate development projects have IRR of 20% - 30% and ROI of 80% - 180%.
His most successful investments include - AZET internet portal, where he achieved IRR of 84% and an ROI of 8.695% (the company was also awarded as the 8th fastest growing company in Central Europe in the Deloitte top 2010 ranking), or BLUE ORANGE mobile technology company. In 2018, G4 established a digital assets fund in which investors could achieve more than 100% appreciation in a few years.
Karol is also a humble co-owner (via Credo Ventures fund) of the company UI-PATH, the most successful technology company in Central and Eastern Europe - which automates robotic processes and recently had an IPO on the US stock exchange with the valuation of $ 35 billion. The expected IRR on this investment will be 90% and the expected ROI will be 879%.
Karol has been interested in technology since being a child. Already at the age of 15 he sold his first software, the Database Management System, to the company Učebné Pomôcky Banská Bystrica for 2422 crowns (in coding language BASIC for PP01 computers) and often participated in mathematical olympics and programming competitions (during the primary school he placed 8th in nationwide programming competition).
Karol studied at the University of Economics in Bratislava and the Rochester Institute of Technology at the US Business School in Prague. Prior to investing, he held managerial positions in telecommunication companies of the Deutsche Telekom Group, where he represented the company at several international conferences and, among other things, his work was nominated in the international GSM Association Award - Service of the Year and awarded in the international Verizon Excellence Award. Karol was also the head of the project, which was the first in the world to present live video streaming on a mobile phone in October 2002.
Karol is married, has three children with his first wife, has built two houses, is not interested in the domestic political situation and his main hobby is traveling (he has traveled to 75 countries). In addition, he enjoys skiing and water sports.
Marek is a partner, member of the Board of Directors and of the Investment Committee in Jet Investment, a Central European private equity investment company that has been detecting investment opportunities in medium-sized manufacturing companies for more than 20 years. Along with his associates, he has successfully restructured or reorganised over 28 businesses and has been behind the first and largest court reorganisations of manufacturing companies in the Czech Republic. Over the past four years, Jet Investment has accumulated a capital of EUR 280 million for private equity investment through its funds, which are opened only to qualified investors and are subject to Czech National Bank regulation. Marek takes part in managing all the companies in the Jet Fund's portfolio as an active board member, the kernel of his mission is to oversee acquisitions, management of investment projects and their exits. Previously, as a Group CEO and Board Chairman, he was leading the executive management of Kordárna Plus, one of the most successful investment projects of Jet Investment to this day.

Jaro is a co-founder and managing partner at Neulogy Ventures, early-stage venture capital fund based in Bratislava, Slovakia. He is a co-founders of StartupAwards.sk, the annual competition for slovak early-stage companies and FTRNW the biggest startup conference in Slovakia. He also serves as an external expert to the European Commission for evaluation of Horizon 2020 projects, scouting for Europe's most promising innovations and ecosystem efforts.
