Discuss Buyout Investments in Prague

According to Private equity barometer from Aberdeen Standard Investments, total buyout deal value in Europe dropped to 34.7bn €, a 19% drop from the previous quarter, with mid-cap deal value losing 5.4bn € and large-cap deals down 3.3bn €. 131 buyouts were sourced from family and private owners in Q2, up 12% compared with the previous quarter. In contrast, there were 63 secondary buyouts, down 6% and the lowest over the last 10-quarters.


Regarding the buyouts in the CEE region, it turned out to be a Q2 bright spot after volume rebounded from a very weak start to the year, with the number of transactions trebling to 12.

Przemyslaw Raczka, Investment Director @ Resource Partners

Przemyslaw is working for 10 years in Resource Partners team, holding currently position of Investment Director. He holds Canadian Executive MBA and he also graduated from the University of Economics in Katowice. He has expertise in consumer sectors including: retail operations, FMCG production, B2C services including online channel.

Resource Partners was created in 2009 by former core members of The Carlyle Group CEE. Since then Resource Partners have successfully raised over EUR400 million to invest in small and medium sized companies in Central and Eastern Europe.



Tomas Casa, Investment Manager @ CEE Equity Partners

Tomáš joined the team of CEE Equity Partners after previous experience with Genesis Capital, last time at a position of Investment Director. He has participated in completed transactions in the fields of manufacturing, retail, services and pharmaceutical sectors, having responsibility for the entire investment process. He has experience with the support of companies from the nonexecutive board position, having served as a board member of seven portfolio companies. Tomáš has also been involved in the fund administration activities, LP reporting and has wide experience with company valuations. Tomáš holds a Masters’ degree in international finance from Erasmus University in Rotterdam and Masters’ degree in economics from Charles University in Prague. He has also completed the CFA designation.
