Vjerana Spajic is an Investment Director at 17Capital, a specialist global private equity firm providing bespoke and flexible capital to private equity funds and portfolios. 17Capital manages €2.0bn across 4 funds backed by institutional LPs. Having pioneered its dedicated strategy in 2008, the firm has completed c. 40 investments, allowing managers and investors to raise non-dilutive capital and generate liquidity from its funds and portfolios.
Vjerana is responsible for investment origination and execution across a number of European geographies, including the CEE, working with counterparties such as GPs, LPs, and investment companies. She has structured and executed a number of transactions in Europe and the US.
Prior to 17Capital, she worked in the investment team at Carlyle Group’s AlpInvest, where she has completed a number of secondary transactions, ranging from LP portfolio purchases to staple and spin-out transactions. Vjerana holds a Master in International Finance from the University of Amsterdam Business School.

Ms. Flora Macher has joined Oriens in 2007 when the firm was founded and is now a Partner at Oriens. She is responsible for transaction execution and ownership management. She also heads the firm's financial administration and fund management department. Ms. Macher has an MSc in Economics from Corvinus University Budapest and an MSc in Economic History from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She is a PhD Candidate of the Economic History Department at the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Piotr Misztal is a Partner at Value4Capital (V4C), investing in Central and Eastern Europe with focus on mid-market buy-out or expansion capital transactions. Value4Capital is a spinout of Amundi Private Equity Funds and is currently investing from V4C Eastern Europe II with a total committed capital of €156m. Piotr joined V4C in 2007. Prior to that, since 1998 he was a Partner at Polish office of Riverside, a US private equity management company focused on mid market buyouts. Before joining private equity industry Piotr has gained experence in corporate finance and transaction advisory, among others in Bank Austria group. He has also worked as a Director at KN Wasserstein Perella, in the National Investment Funds mass privatization program in Poland. His professional career started in early 90-ties at KPMG Poland. During his private equity career Piotr has executed, managed and successfully exited several investments in various industry sectors in Poland and in Europe.
Piotr has Master of Sciences degree of Moscow State Institute for International Relations and has Diploma in Busness Administration from Canadian International Management Institute.

Michal is a Partner at ARX Equity Partners, an established private equity firm with over 20 years of experience with investing in medium-sized companies in Central Europe. At ARX, Michal is responsible for investment activities in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Prior to joining ARX, Michal worked in the Central European team of Advent International, and currently also serves as a Board Member of the Czech Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (CVCA).

Bill has over 20 years' experience of deal making in the CEE region, both as an investor and as an advisor.
He joined CEE Equity (Investment Advisor to China CEE Fund) in October 2013. He initiated and started the execution of the Fund’s first investment outside Poland – the partial buy-out of Hungary’s leading private university in December 2014.
He also initiated and led the execution of the Fund’s co-investment with Black Peak Capital into Walltopia (the world leader in the manufacture and installation of indoor climbing walls); and Javna Razsvetljava, a Slovenian municipal lighting company.
He is now seeking investment opportunities for the second China CEE Fund, mainly in Czech, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Romania, former Yugoslavia and Albania.
His early career was as an officer in the British Army, which included active service in the Falkland Islands and the First Gulf War, for which he was awarded an MBE. He has an MA in Engineering from Cambridge University and an MBA from Henley Management College.

Ondrej Vicar is a partner in a private equity firm Genesis Capital. He began his cooperation with Genesis in 2007 as a turnaround manager in one of the portfolio companies Vltava.cz. Since then, he has been involved in GTH Catering, AZ KLIMA, Servodata, JRC Czech, HSW Signall and 3070 projects located in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Prior to Genesis, Ondrej worked in Ogilvy Public Relations Prague as an Account Manager where he specialized in financial sector clients. Ondrej studied under a Socrates scholarship in Santiago de Chile and with the George Soros' Open Society Fund in the USA and graduated from the University of Economics in Prague.

Martin is a Vice President at Enterprise Investors, the oldest and one of the largest private equity firms in CEE. He joined Enterprise Investors in 2012 and is responsible for investments in Czech and Slovak markets. At EI he was engaged in various investments and exits, including Nay, Scitec (HU), Noriel (RO), Kofola and CBA Slovakia. Prior to joining Enterprise Investors he worked in Wood & Company in their Bratislava, Prague and Warsaw teams specializing in M&A transactions, project finance deals and IPOs. Before he worked in the Swiss private equity fund of funds manager Horizon21 (currently BlackRock), responsible for investments in Europe and the US. Martin earned his CFA designation in 2009. He also serves as a Board Member of the Slovak Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (SLOVCA).

Patric Gresko co-leads the venture capital activity of the European Investment Fund (EIF), which he joined in 2001. The EIF is the largest European venture capital fund-of- funds with more than EUR 6bn under management and a portfolio of over 300 venture capital funds, technology transfer operators and business angels covering all major technology sectors, life sciences and social & environmental impact. The team that Patric co-leads comprises close to 40 passionate investment professionals from 15 different countries. Prior to joining EIF, Patric worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Luxembourg as an auditor and consultant for the financial sector.

An entrepreneur and venture capitalist, Ondrej currently manages Credo Ventures, an early stage venture capital firm, which he co-founded in January 2009.
