Josh was a Graduate Scholar at Oxford University in Mathematics. He was subsequently a Research Fellow at Harvard University in Economics and Game Theory, publishing papers in Game Theory and IT Security journals before studying operational research and advanced financial modelling at Cambridge University, as part of an MPhil in Statistics; his MPhil research was supported by the Rand Institute of Santa Monica, California.

Jean-François is the CEO of Edmond de Rothschild Private Equity (France), a management company investing a minority co-investment fund (ERES) and a mid-market buyout fund of funds (Privilege). He started his career as a strategic consultant at McKinsey & Co, where he stayed until 1996. After spending some time at the DSP turnaround fund in Philadelphia (USA), he joined Vestar Capital Partners in Paris in 2001 where he held a number of positions before heading the firm until 2012. Jean-François participated in many majority transactions at DSP and Vestar. In particular, he managed the investments in SAB Wabco (2002) and AZ Electronic Materials (2007). Christian is an avowed nerd, who earned his first money coding software. His entrepreneurial start in working life during the tail-end of the New Economy showed him clearly what it meant to cope with tough times.
