Mikkel is currently Head of Fund-of-Funds at Vækstfonden- the Danish state’s investment fund. By trade he is a well-renowned M&A lawyer and he has gained 6 years of private equity investing experience, which includes both direct venture capital investing and fund-of-funds investing. Mikkel has also worked at AP Moller-Maersk as well as he has taken on various roles as management advisor and start-up advisor. He has supplemented his law degree with IMD executive courses.

At EIF Tatiana has led investments into 16 European early stage and growth venture capital funds, including Felix Capital, Atomico, Balderton, Creandum, Sunstone and Prime Ventures. She also worked on the development of EIF’s new investment products and represented EIF at European Digital Forum. Before joining EIF in early 2011, Tatiana was contributing to the development of next generation mobile networks in various technical and business roles at Nokia.

Head of Division - Innovation and Technology Investments, European Investment Fund Patric Gresko is Head of Division - Innovation and Technology Investments. EIF is the largest European venture capital fund-of-funds with more than EUR 3bn under management and a portfolio of over 220 venture capital funds. I lead a team that invests in early stage funds and manages a portfolio of venture capital funds representing total commitments of more than EUR1bn in all major technology sectors. With EIF’s Venture Capital team, I am further developing EIF’s activity by designing and implementing new innovative equity products, notably in the corporate venturing space. I am also responsible for the early stage window of the High Growth and Innovative SME Facility (GIF), a EUR 550m mandate funded by the European Commission for supporting emerging and innovative venture capital funds. I started my career with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Luxembourg as an auditor and consultant for the financial sector.

Prior to Conor, Jari worked as Founding Partner at Eqvitec Partners, a Finnish venture capital company, and as Investment Director in charge of seed and early stage investments at Sitra, the Finnish Innovation Fund. Dr. Christian Nagel is Co-Founder and Partner of Earlybird. Christian has more than 20 years of entrepreneurial and investment experience. He was Chairman of the Board of Tipp24 AG (Prime Standard Frankfurt Exchange: TIM) and Interhyp AG (Prime Standard Frankfurt Exchange: IYP), which returned more than 50x the original Earlybird investment. Up till the trade sale to SMSC (NASDAQ: SMSC) he also served on the board of BridgeCo AG. He is currently on the boards of Auctionata (Berlin), Bonagora (Berlin), Cashboard (Berlin), LiquidM (San Francisco/Berlin), Number26 (Berlin), Smava (Berlin), Ubitricity (Berlin) and Versus (Berlin). Prior to founding Earlybird in 1997, Christian, together with a group of investors, acquired various companies from the Treuhandanstalt (the former East-German state holding) and gained operational experience. He was a shareholder and an Executive Director of HNP Präzisionsteile GmbH & Co. Haakon started Dawn Capital with Norman Fiore in 2007. He has extensive investing, operational and venture capital experience. As an entrepreneur he co-founded Self Trade an online broker, and acted as the CEO for the highly successful British part of the business and was a member of their European Executive Board. Self Trade was floated in April 2000 and then sold in October 2000 to DAB (a subsidiary of HVB of Germany) for €911M. Haakon has served on the boards of Self Trade and Wonga.com amongst others, and currently represents Dawn’s interest at Neo Technologies, 90MIN and First Care. Prior to formalising early stage investing at Dawn, Haakon worked with early stage companies from their first commercial efforts through to managing accelerated growth, often by serving as an interim manager or board member. They include G-Cluster (sold to Softbank Broadmedia) and in Lateral Logic (sold to Electronic Arts). Mr. Overli studied Mathematics at the University of Oslo and holds a B.A. (Hons) in Economics from University of Durham. In his investment-banking career when the world was covered in ice, Haakon was a Director and Co-Head of Technology Investment Banking at ING Barings. Prior even to that, Haakon worked for JP Morgan in the M&A departments of New York and London.

Anne works as a Portfolio Manager at Bakken & Bæck, a world-class team of startup builders, designers, developers and artificial intelligence explorers who turn big ideas into great products and ventures. Previously, Anne founded the co-working space Nordic Innvation House in Silicon Valley, and she was the first CEO of the Norwegian Venture Capital & Private Equity Association. She has experience as a co-founder, angel investor, member of Board of Directors for startups and VCs, focusing on early stage ventures, growth and internationalization. In the period 2008-2010 she was the editor of Nordic unquote, a trade journal covering the Nordic private equity and venture capital markets. She holds an MSc Management with Finance from Bath University and an BA (Hons) Politics and International Studies from Warwick University.

Diljá believes that the Nordics can create more value by collaborating in order to build global traction to the Nordic startup ecosystem. Martin Hauge has a M.Sc. from NTH-NTNU in Trondheim and is an Alumni from SEP-2008 at Stanford University GSB. The Norwegian national has founded multiple startups, most notably Interaction Design (Norway) in 1997, which he successfully exited to Swedish Adcore in 2000 and then Creuna (Denmark), which he exited in 2004, before joining Swedish investment company, Creandum as a General Partner in 2004. In his role as General Partner of Creandum, Martin Hauge acts as a board member of prominent Scandinavian startups such as Vivino, Fitbay, AutoButler and many, many more.

Kerstin Cooley is CEO & Partner of MOOR, a Stockholm-based venture firm founded by Kaj Hed, majority shareholder in Rovio - the creators of Angry Birds. MOOR is an early-stage tech investor focused on digital opportunities with a global outlook. Previously, Kerstin held senior positions in SEB’s hedge fund practice, investing in start-up hedge funds and developing alternative investment products for institutional clients. With 20 years’ experience in the financial/IT industry, she started her career at Silicon Valley-based Echelon. Jon Øyvind Eriksen holds an MSc in biotechnology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), and a graduate degree in Russian and German from the University of Bergen. He has been awarded an MBA with Distinction from London Business School, and he is also a CFA Charterholder. Mr Eriksen is a serial entrepreneur with a proven track record of leading technology and media companies through start-up, growth, expansion and exits, mergers, acquisitions, corporate spin-offs and turnarounds. Mr Eriksen has also held positions as chairman and member of the Board of Directors in several companies. He is currently board member at Investinor's portfolio company BerGenBio AS, Novenda AS and chairman of the board at Boost Communications AS.
Urmas Peiker

Urmas and Funderbeam enable funding and trading of illiquid assets (the presence and future of cross-border investing and trading). Urmas has started as a securities regulator in Estonia, thereafter he achieved an LL.M degree at Duke University (US). Prior to co-founding Funderbeam he has been working at EBRD and Morgan Stanley (both in London), at a risk capital fund management company in Estonia and as Head of Compliance at LHV Bank (Estonia). Besides work, he is an accomplished endurance sports athlete, who has completed several running and cross-country skiing marathons (including ultramarathon), cycling (including Vätternrundan in Sweden and many times L'Etape du Tour in France) and also has finished two Ironman competitions (including World Championships in Hawaii).
Carl Holmquist

Carl Holmquist, founder and CEO, built Freespee to make the $1,3 Trillion communication stack more data driven, and easily accessible to marketers and ecommerce professionals. It made a great excuse to create a company that combined his love of maths and behavioural economics with a software and communications industry background. Carl is also an active investor/advisor to 46elks, a communication API built for web and application developers, by developers. Before Freespee, Carl launched cloud services for the Nordic Next Gen telco, IP-Only (owned by EQT).
Thomas Weilby Knudsen

Thomas has worked with venture capital (VC) for more than a decade. He has gained extensive experience in establishing new businesses across Europe and has specialized in maturing businesses for the US market. He joined IVS in 2002, and when it became Northcap Partners in 2006, he was a driving force in establishing the current Northcap team and firm. Since closing his first VC investment with the hosting company eStructure.net in 2000, Thomas has now more than 20 investment under his belt. Taking a special interest in cloud computing and SaaS businesses, Thomas built his first SaaS business in 1996, which he grew to 200,000 subscribers across four countries. Prior to joining the VC business, Thomas held several senior management positions in IT and Internet-based companies. Among other merits, Thomas led the Managed Services business unit at Cybercity (Telenor) launching a number of innovative products in a highly competitive market, and at TDC, Thomas built a new business unit from scratch. He received his M.Sc. degree in Finance and Business Administration from University of Aarhus, Denmark. Around the office Thomas is said to have an impatient mindset, which might explain why he prefers action sports like running or mountain biking over a trip to the golf course.
Fatou Diagne

Fatou is a partner and co-founder at Bootstrap, based in Zurich, where she focuses on the sourcing, risk evaluation, negotiation and due diligence of new investment opportunities. Prior to starting Bootstrap, Fatou co-founded TREE together with Stephanie where she focused on investment, selection, due diligence and performance optimisation of clients' direct holdings in private companies. Fatou also contributed to the set-up and implementation of the African Risk Capacity, a $100M sovereign risk insurance facility against drought in 22 countries. Fatou worked at Citigroup in their London and Johannesburg offices, where she spent over five years advising European and emerging markets clients on cross border acquisitions, high yield debt and equity financings. Her work experience also extends to strategic advisory to the CEO at SFR, France's second largest mobile operator, as well as Standard and Poor's in London, in the sovereign credit ratings team. Fatou is originally from Senegal and holds a BSc in Economics and Finance from the University of Calgary, and graduated from the HEC Business School in Paris where she majored in Finance. Fatou is fluent in French, English, Wolof and Spanish.

Based in Stockholm, Daniel Lauren is head of the Nordic VC Fund Inventure’s operations in Sweden. Daniel has a strong experience as an entrepreneur, angel investor and advisor to multiple startup companies. He has founded and co-founded more than 10 companies, and has been operative as entrepreneur in several start-ups since 2005. He is today investor and on the board of Like A Boss Games, Karma, Glimr, Funrock Games as example.

Jeanette is Founder and Chair of Tech Nordic Advocates, the largest private sector led tech network in the Nordics and Baltics; CEO of newmedia2.0 – strategic advisors to pioneering media and tech companies from startups to PLCs; tech and smart city advisor to the Danish and UK governments, lecturer in innovation and entrepreneurship; a Tech London Advocate and Honorary Fellow of Ravensbourne (digital media and innovation) University in London. Over a 25 year career in the tech space, Jeanette has built, led and advised well known tech brands in the UK, Nordics and internationally. From a background in strategy and marketing, Jeanette’s focus is to help startups and established companies deliver exponential growth, leveraging technology-, customer-led approaches to innovation. Outside of Tech Nordic Advocates and newmedia2.0, Jeanette lectures in innovation and entrepreneurship and supports research at top universities. She is a frequent speaker at leading industry events and has published widely on the key strategic issues facing startups and business leaders in today’s tech-driven world.
